Maryland's Commitment to Veterans

Maryland's Commitment to Veterans is primarily charged with insuring veterans who are Maryland residents are provided access to behavioral health services (mental health, alcohol and drug addiction).  We first attempt to locate the service needed within the Veterans Administration (VA) system of care but if not available within a two week period, we then locate services for the veteran with the Maryland Public Mental Health System (PMHS) or within the Alcohol and Drug Addictions Administration.  Services provided within the PMHS or ADAA are temporary until we can place the veteran into VA services.  We also assist the veteran's family with an array of services.
