MD Committee for Employer Support of the Guard & Reserve (MDESGR)
The Maryland Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (MDESGR) is a Department of Defense agency that seeks to promote a culture in which all American employers support and value the military service of their employees. We recognize outstanding support, increase awareness of the law, and resolve conflicts through free mediation. The primary audience for ESGR services is members of the Guard and Reserve and employers of Guard and Reserve members. ESGR services are provided free of any charges.
The MDESGR committee is composed of volunteers and paid support staff that interacts with all Maryland employers and the over 16,000 military reserve members assigned to units within the state.
The MDESGR committee concentrates its efforts in the following areas:
- Military Outreach;
- Employer Outreach;
- Ombudsman Service;
- Awards Program; and
- Employer Orientation Flights.
